What Yoga can do for you?

 

 

  • Relaxation (Savasana)- Helps to heal the mind and body, it stills the constant chatter in your mind and allows you to stop and re-energise. Relaxation concentrates essential time to yourself. 

 

  • The postures (Asana)- Improve strength, balance, motor skills and flexibility they help you to regain mobility and realign posture so that every day tasks become easier. They release tension built up through a hectic work and home life. If you have a specific sport e.g. running, yoga postures will help to optimize your performance and help to reduce the risk of injury. 

 

  • Breathing (Pranayama)- Focusing on the breath restores mental clarity it is great for stress relief and alleviates low mood. It allows better delivery of oxygenated blood which is great for the heart and lungs. Effective breathing can increase energy and increase a sense of well-being.
