Acro Yoga

I went along to Emma Kelly's Acro Yoga Class today, there was a small group of 6 of us all eager to practice balancing on top of each other. we started with a beautiful yoga warm up before continuing to practise handstands (mine are still wobbly away from the wall) and push ups to improve out strength. It wasent long before we were all comfortable and trusted each other to hold our weight . The class were eager to start the first posture was balancing on our partners feet. Initally there were lots of giggles and wobbling but we were all proud to master our first balance. I loved the class and can not wait for the next one.
I was attracted to the class because I love to challange my self and then there is the connection with each other it is very supportive and trusting. You get such a great sense of release in some of the poses. being suspended and supported in the air really did help to release any tension in my back and it felt wonderfull.
